Maryland woman has been charged with 36 criminal charges involving $7 million in health care fraud. The woman was found guilty by a federal jury and was sentenced to jail. Evidence shows that the woman was CEO of the Health Advocacy Center in Washington DC. She submitted claims for services that were not provided and used the fraudulently obtained money to buy 4 luxury cars and two beachfront properties.

Right under the noses of our nation’s capital, a fraudster manages to steal 7 million dollars in health care funds in Washington D.C, says fraud expert, Linda Webb, aka The Fraud Dog. Imagine what 7 million dollars could buy for the homeless or the unemployed in our country. Instead this fraudster chose to buy 4 luxury cars and 2 beach front homes in Florida. It is pure greed, says fraud expert, Linda Webb. The sad part about all of this is that 90% of the time the money is gone and the assets are pennies on the dollar to recover. Fraud hurts every American and together we must stop it.
