Fraud Expert Linda Webb aka the Fraud Dog says that fraudsters are targeting victims on the phone called Vishing. Here are some tips to look out for.

1. The fraudster via telephone (vishing) will act like they are with a reputable business like your bank, insurance company, or credit card.

2. They will ask you to provide your credit card number with cvv code, or your bank account number including routing number.

3. They will lure you in by them indicating you are entitled to a refund, which sounds too good to be true.

Better yet, “when in doubt hang up on the fraudster”, says the Fraud Dog.
